Customer Review: Poor documentation. Awkward to use.
I was looking for something simple to use. This is not it. It is not intuitively obvious and the documentation is very poor. Also I can rotate a picture and it stays rotated but if I zoom a picture it reverts back to the original. This is my first experience with a digital frame so maybe I'm just a dummy but I don't recommend it. I didn't load their software because I once bought a Kodak camera and the software for that was very intrusive and annoying.
Customer Review: I like it for basic photos
When I bought this for my grandparents, I was looking for something easy. To be frank, I just wanted a flash drive port. All I had to do was plug the frame in, insert the card, and hit go. Poof! Easy as pie for grandma and grandpa. I have no intent to explore all the features that probably made this so expensive, but if you're in the same situation I am, it works. And on a Mac too. :)

After quite a few years now of Digital Photography I have amassed a huge number of photos which are safely backed-up on my External Hard Drive. I have printed off some of the better ones and kept them in an album for safe-keeping, I've also made a few calendars using a Calendar Kit in conjunction with a range of my favourite photos.

I've also provided a highly entertaining slide show (don't laugh) for the pleasure of my family last Christmas (using the Sandisk Photo Album). But what other options do I have to help me display my other photos, as most of them are currently sitting in binary form on my hard drive, mostly unseen. After searching the web, the first display idea I discovered was the great innovation of Digital Photo Frames! These nifty devices are basically tiny flat screen monitors in a frame.

After hooking up to a computer or inserting a memory card, the picture frame will display and cycle through any photos found on the memory card. There are currently a variety of Digital Photo Frames available at a variety of different prices, the cheapest I found was around the 70 mark for a 5.6 inch frame and around 150 for a 7 inch frame. These prices will drop over the next year or two as the manufacturing cost of colour screen technology falls. I may well pick one of these devices when that happens.

Online photo album services was the next topic I stumbled upon, these seem to have sprung up all over the web, many offering a simple way of posting photos on to the web, so family and friends can browse your photos at their leisure. The possibility of putting my photos on the Internet really tickled my fancy. There are many free online services available making it possible for people with very little computer knowledge to easily select their favourite photos and post them to a private area on the Internet for family and friends to view. This service cuts out a lot of technical know-how that would normally be required to get your photos on the web. However if you have the time and wish to build your own photo web site, there are plenty of tutorials on the web that will take you through the process from buying a domain name through to uploading files to the web, step by step.

During my research, I found many Internet companies offering lab quality prints from your Digital Photos, sent directly to your door. By simply selecting your favourite images from your computer and having them electronically sent via the company's website you can purchase copies of your chosen prints from as little as 1 penny per photo. There are also many other printing options available, for instance you can have your photos printed onto items such as mugs, t-shirts, dinner placemats, teddy bears, cushions and other items you probably have never dreamed of printing onto!

Another service commonly found at these photo websites, is canvas printing. Canvas printing is where your digital photos are printed directly onto a specially coated canvas and then box mounted, ready for hanging. Up until recently, having digital images printed on to canvas has been an expensive process. Thanks to some changes in the way canvas prints are made, it has become much more affordable to get those special photos turned into classy, eye-catching pieces, guaranteed to bring any bland wall to life.

Canvas prints are generally available in sizes starting at 40 x 30cm up to about 160 x 120cm. Please note that some digital images (mainly images below 4 mega-pixels) may not be suitable for this scale of enlargement, it's well worth checking this out with the photo website before parting with any money.

Besides all the online services available, a variety of Automated Photo Kiosks have appeared in our high street stores. These Kiosks allow you to simply insert a memory card from your digital camera and select images you would like to print. After inserting some money your chosen photos are printed and dispensed on the spot. The Kodak kiosks are also equipped with an option to burn your photos onto a CD for safe-keeping. This is a convenient option for people that either do not have a computer or a printer to use, but love the freedom of Digital Photography.

Out of these discoveries, I am keen to try and get my photos up on the internet for the world see. This can be done nice and quickly for free! I think I will also send a couple of my best photos off to have box mounted canvas prints made to hang up at home.

Pictures speak a thousand words, this statement is incorrect. Stating that a picture speaks only a thousand words is ridiculous. There are countless interpretations of a photograph and unlimited different impressions on what the photo represents and/or symbolises. I have been taking photos for about 3 years now and within that time I have learnt a lot.

One of the things I have learnt is a photo is not fact. The saying the camera never lies is untrue when you understand the circumstances within photography. We all have a favourite photo where we think we look good. Some where we think we look better than we do in real life, other we dislike because they make us look fat, ugly or unnatural. Cameras do lie Fact!

You can use this to your favour. Everyone likes to look good in a photo and what if I told you I could explain exactly what you need to do to get an amazing photo every time.

Here goes, Firstly lighting is the most important factor. The most gorgeous super model can look like a disaster in poor lighting or lighting coming from the wrong angle to disfigure her face. The trick is to get the light pointing at you but not directly. For example if your outside look in the direction of the sun but not strait at it. Make sure the sun is coming at you at about an angle of 25. This will give perfect lighting.

Next tip is how you stand and what pose you take. The best poses are those that look almost natural and the best way to stand is what feels comfortable. If it feels uncomfortable it probably looks silly. Now your face is very important, that is what people will look at first when looking at the photo. You dont need to look into the camera but this would give a nice picture. The trick is to open your eyes as wide as you possibly can without looking like your trying to open your eyes as wide as you possibly can. Confusing? Also a smile looks good if you have a non chubby face for all us chubs instead of smiling just look at the camera as if your about to smile or your thinking of something nice but dont smile because this brings your cheeks up and make you look more chubby.

So thats lighting and Personal attributes, the last thing that really affects the photos overall look is the setting. A supermodel on a beach always looks more beautiful then the same girl in an alley sat on a dumpster. So chose your setting wisely use a blank coloured wall or a beautiful sunset (Barring in mind if you want to get the sunset behind you, you would need lighting in front of you) and thats it. Thats a photo you can frame and place in your living room for many years to enjoy. I hope this has inspired you to go out and take photos because memories fade with age but a photograph on a computer or in a photo album or frame can last a lifetime.

Follow some simple rules to ensure you get the most from your shots on the slopes:

- keep your equipment free from damage

keep equipment in a sturdy bag when not in use and avoid knocks and accidents (including falls!) remember, the more expensive your bag, the better the quality and protection for you valuable stuff

- keep your equipment dry

snow, ice, water and cameras don't mix professional cameras may be watertight, but cheaper ones are no. And, electronics dont like water

- keep your batteries charged

the cold can shorten battery life - keeps spares in a pocket close to your body. There is nothing worse than running out of power at the wrong time

- use a UV filer

this will protect your lens from knocks and dirt but will also reduce the blue discolouration in mountain scenes these filters are cheap and great value for money

- use slow shutter speeds for landscape shots and fast shutter speeds for action shots

Slow shutter speeds will enable the best depth of field; a fast shutter speed will freeze action

- take care on the slopes

skiers, snowboarders and others move fast and cause serious damage; always be sure you keep to safe paths and watch out for other users

- watch out for colour

most skiers wear colourful clothes - great for pictures with impact; and vivid colours look great against the white backdrop

- shoot when the winter sun is low

this will give your pictures life intensify shadows and textures
accidents (including falls); a high sun will flatten your pictures

Customer Review: An OK frame for the money
This is an OK, average product. Very basic software, relatively easy to use and I like the fact that it allows a 1gig space on the SD card. The only problem that is very irritating is that you can not randomize the photos. It just loops them in the order they are on the card.

What is the LCD Touch of Color anyway? You may ask. Is it a publicity stunt of Samsung, a technological innovation, or simply a marketing strategy thought by Samsung? Maybe we can say that it is a little bit of each.

The competition in the market in LCD TV has been increasing over the years. One must stand out in the market to get noticed. Samsung has thought of a brilliant plan to do this. They introduced Touch of Color to the market. This proved to be successful because they turned out to be a hit among the consumers as they are wildly sought after. The design of Touch of Color is unique. It has a distinctive amber color which is combined with the conventional black for an elegant and attractive appearance. People want their television to still look attractive like a piece of art even though it is not being used. Other manufacturers are expected to follow this trend with their own unique features in the years to come.

The design of Touch of Color is made for the outside of the TV. It does not make any sound or light up when turned on. But of course, the more important thing there is whether your TV will perform brilliantly when you turn it on. Samsung does not let you down. It offers 1080 pixel picture for an ultimate HD resolution which delivers to you clear and crisp images capturing the real meaning of high definition TV.

Response time offered by Samsung TV is 4ms and the frame rate is 120 Hz. Their Auto Motion Plus technology has the ability to double the frame rate from 60 Hz to 120 Hz. This technology allows the TV to alter between framed for a smooth shifting. This makes it great for watching sports or other shows and movies which have many fast moving actions since this model of LCD handles motion well unlike the earlier models.

Samsung TV offers a contrast ratio of 50,000:1, a great improvement from the previous year 25,000:1. Contrast ratio establishes the ability of the TV to generate dark blacks or dazzling whites. Having a higher contrast ratio will help avoid an image that is washed out which can be observed in TVs that have lesser contrast ratio.

Using a built-in Ethernet port, access to free RSS new, stocks, weather, sports, and many more is made possible by InfoLink.

The design of Touch of Color is sure to be a big hit with consumers. This might probably start a drift towards having TV as an art piece instead of just a simple TV. The superb design of Samsung's Touch of Color will certainly be worth your money.

Kodak EasyShare SV811 8-inch Digital Picture Frame

Kodak EASYSHARE SV811 Digital Picture Frame is perfect for on-the-spot viewing of digital pictures and videos from any digital camera, home PC via USB and all memory cards.

Digital Camera Software

A combination of a digital camera, a color scanner and image manipulation software is highly recommended. The software digital camera software that is included also provides professional level workflow solutions for seamless use.

Most of the software is designed for digital camera users, compatible with most current digital camera models.

photo editing software & photo printing software that's renown for its ease of use. At last there's easy-to-use digital camera software for both home and business users.

Image

The image sensor employed by most digital cameras is a charge coupled device (CCD). Some current digital camera models store combinations of video (MPEG or AVI movies), image sequences or sound. Although Canon's images are slightly better, the Casio is an ultra-thin, sleek digital camera that doesn't sacrifice overall image quality.

Easy-to-understand information about digital cameras, accessories, image editing and more. Image quality depends on the resolution of the digital camera. To make image files smaller almost every digital camera uses some form of compression. This EasyShare digital camera's resolution of 5 megapixels, 3x optical zoom and an all-glass lens combine for amazing image detail and clarity.

With an image stabilizer, this digital camera produces clear, even images even in shaky conditions. Resolution is the most talked about digital camera characteristic and is often used to describe image quality.

If you have the option, choose optical rather than digital image stabilization in your camera. It is probably the best digital camera made and produces image quality that rivals medium format film (e.g., 6x6cm Hasselblad).

Image processing for single-sensor digital camera: a mathematical challenge This entry is from Wikipedia, the leading user-contributed encyclopedia. A typical slave unit will fire on the pre-flash it senses while the digital camera captures the image on the last flash. The image quality available from digital cameras is astonishingly good.

Film

In fact, a digital camera is better quality than a film camera in many important respects! The digital cameras enjoy the advantage of a built-in digital signal processor that your roll of film doesn't have.

Add an external or speed light flash to your digital camera or film camera. Many digital cameras are comparable to a 35 mm camera in price without the extra added cost of buying or developing film. Back to top Printing pictures Unlike with film cameras, you can print digital photos at home.

Is considering laying off the development of new film cameras as it focuses resources on its digital camera business. Though digital cameras don't use film, they have adopted the same rating system for describing the sensitivity of the camera's imaging sensor. So far, very few digital cameras have been produced with a receptor using the full size of 35mm film.

Whether you're using film or a digital camera, bring a sturdy tripod. Shooting with a digital camera is somewhat like shooting slide film. A couple years ago, I got into the digital camera thing to the point that I pretty much parked my roll film cameras. The digital camera scenario is similar in that mega pixels are similar to film size. To design and build a high performance digital cine camera with the quality of 35mm film and convenience of a camcorder.

Quality

The quality of your pictures can be enhanced by the digital camera accessory you choose. You'll find quality brands of digital cameras, 35mm cameras, lenses, video cameras, memory cards and camera accessories at great prices. An easy to use quality digital camera purchase will be fully used by staff and students. However, not all digital cameras can produce prints of the same quality. I wanted a go-anywhere high quality digital camera that's user-friendly with both auto & manual controls. At the cheaper end of the digital camera scale, the quality can be remarkable for the price.

Buy

It is better to buy a digital camera with a 100% glass lens for the best pictures. Many retailers advertise their best buy digital camera as one with a plastic lens. You should also look for the best buy digital camera packages with the most RAM that you can afford. A lot of unscrupulous retailers will advertise a price for a best buy digital camera but then charge high shipping costs.

Finally, ensure that you have accounted for any shipping costs before you make your final decision over which best buy digital camera you purchase. There's never been a better time to buy a digital camera. Having to buy re-chargeable batteries and a charger will typically add from $20 to $100 to the cost of your digital camera.

As a person constantly taking photos I made this page as a lot of people keep asking me what digital camera they should buy. Find discount computers, cheap digital camera, buy digital cameras. Try before you buy - I've always been a firm believer that you should handle a digital camera before you buy it.

Size

Experienced digital camera users know pixel size isn't everything. The small size and versatility allow easy integration of digital cameras into all parts of the curriculum. If you care more about price and features than compact size, choose a standard size digital camera.

There are three basic "sizes" of digital cameras, and knowing what size camera suits your needs will make your search much simpler. For digital SLR cameras with interchangeable lenses it's more difficult as different cameras have different size sensors. This is why I am currently looking for an extra digital camera featuring a minimal size combined with a maximum amount of useful features.

These are about the size of a matchbook and used in digital cameras made by Nikon, Canon, Kodak and many others. When choosing a digital camera you have to think about the resolution of the pictures, size and memory. A larger inner diameter makes the L-Ring 3200 perfect no matter the lens size of your digital camera. This has nothing to do with your camera being digital it is entirely a result of smaller frame size.

Video

Webcams are digital cameras attached to computers, used for video conferencing or other purposes. However, modern digital photography cameras have a video function, and a growing number of camcorders have a still photography function. Modern compact digital cameras are typically multifunctional, with some devices capable of taking photographs, video, and/or sound.

Classification Digital cameras can be classified into several groups: Video cameras Professional video cameras such as those used in television and movie production. Some digital cameras have direct video out..... Another alternative, although not directly a digital one, would be to purchase one of the analog peephole video cameras.

Lens

The super multi layer lens coating reduces flare and ghost, a common problem with digital cameras. The vast majority of digital cameras are "point-and-shoot" models with a single, non-interchangeable lens. Because auto focusing in most digital cameras is done through the lens, the focus shift is automatically taken care of. Focus and Exposure: Fixed-focus digital cameras have a lens that is preset to focus at a certain range. These depend on the actual (as opposed to relative) diameter of the lens aperture, which makes them especially painful for digital cameras.

Memory

You can find a memory card reader or extra battery to keep your digital camera powered up for any circumstance. Some professional digital cameras and memory card readers connect to the computer over FireWire. SD is now the most popular type of digital camera memory. Many types of memory cards are available for use with your digital camera. Files deleted from PC, digital camera or memory stick can be restored with high speed and reliability. When using your digital camera to make movies it is also very important to have ample Flash Memory on hand too.

Battery

All digital cameras can run on rechargeable batteries of one of two types: an expensive battery pack or a set of AA batteries. A battery is taped to the inside cover of the box that the Olympus digital camera came in. Take a few moments to look around, keep your camcorder, digital camera or laptop computer working like new with a fresh battery today! The Digital Camera Battery can power two devices at the same time and has adjustable outputs that match each device automatically.
